Richard Wass, CEO

Mr. Wass is a driven hands on senior Leader with over 50 years of engineering, consulting and business experience. Richard possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and empower cross functional teams in engineering, design, quality and operations minimizing waste and reducing costs while maximizing quality and output. Proven ability to apply analytical and business processes to effectively create and drive business performance. Highly successful professional with proven start-up, turnaround and change management expertise in operations, manufacturing, sales, procurement, distribution and engineering. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and has patented a Thermal Heat Exchanger. Richard is a Vietnam era service disabled veteran serving as a B-52 Crew Chief from 1961 to 1965 at which time he was honorably discharged from the United Stated Air Force.

Michael L. Heminger, Federal Sales Manager

As the Federal Sales Manager, Mike is responsible for the overall sales at Hawk Institute for Space Sciences, a sales organization tasked with extending Hawks partnerships to the federal government, prime contractors and small to mid-sized organizations. Mike has extensive federal government sales experience. Prior to joining Hawk in 2014 he worked as the VP of Sales for Technology Specialists Inc, Gov-Tec Systems and Cintronix/Microage spanning over 35 years. Mike served in the US Army on rotary and fixed wing aircraft as an Aircraft Electrician and was Honorably discharged after his service in Panama CA. Mike also attended collage at the Panama Canal College.

Debbie Carr, Chief Financial Officer

Debbie joined Hawk as chief financial officer in August 2014. As CFO Debbie is responsible for the company’s accounting and finance operations and the contracts and human resources teams. Debbie has led the efforts to mature Hawk’s internal budgeting, financial and contracting processe Debbie has worked with small to mid-size government contractors for over 30 years. Prior to joining Hawk, she worked as VP of Finance for Technology Specialists, Inc., Force 3, Inc., and RJO Enterprises. Debbie attended college at Prince Georges Community College.
